Astra2connect is a new service from Astra, using the Astra 3A satellite at 23.5º east.
The dish is (also in southern Spain) not greater than 85 cm and from the same dish you can also get the TV signal for Astra 1A, 24 hour internet without limit - and almost free calls with the same dish.

ASTRA2Connect is also available in combination with a prepaid package. This means you can benefit from broadband internet via satellite, without being bound to monthly recurring charges. Ideal for use in your holiday home during holidays, or if you simply want to keep your costs in hand.
Starter:
Besides the hardware, pay for your single € 99.95 activation fee. This amount is 1 GB of data including consumption, which can be used for down-and / or upload traffic. The download traffic is included in the starters pack and has a volume of 840 MB, the upload traffic has a volume of 160 MB. The mega bytes included in the starters pack, have a validity of 6 months. The speeds of ASTRA2Connect Prepaid to 1024 kb / s download and 128 kb / sec upload. The prepaid system has not a Fair Use Policy, so your speed can be affected only at times of the day, when many customers ASTRA2Connect simultaneously use the Internet. This means that the bandwidth of the satellite, evenly distributed over the end of ASTRA2Connect.

Phone calls via the satellite
In addition to Internet via ASTRA2Connect, from now on you can also use digital telephony with ASTRA2Connect. Here you can choose from a phone in the country of your choice, you are able to call from 0.01 cents per minute!
Subscription:
If you have a Dutch or Belgian billing address and bank account, you can choose to make use of digital telephony in conjunction with one of our inexpensive subscriptions. If you want to use one of the subscriptions for digital telephony in conjunction with ASTRA2Connect you should purchase once the Siemens Gigaset SX762's. This is a router which multiple computers can be plugged in and wireless printers can be shared. The recommended IP phone is connected to this. Recommended is the Gigaset C470 (149.95 €)
This device is also loaded with useful features, all via the illuminated color display accessible. Use the handsfree function with great sound quality, while doing other things in your house, or send an SMS message if you just have no time to talk. In addition, it has online access to the telephone and automatically the latest news via RSS feeds. The unit has a phonebook for 150 names and numbers and has a collection of rings that you can customize entirely to your own needs. Use the Space Surveillance for reliable baby alarm and programming the alarm as a wake up call in the morning.
The price of the Siemens Gigaset SX762 is € 129,95 including VAT
CAUTION! Subscriptions are only offered in combination with a Dutch or Belgian phone number. Would you use a phone in one of the other countries you pay an annual fee of € 100.00 including VAT. The monthly subscription fees and any costs outside the bundle, will be taken monthly from your bank account. You can subscribe to digital phone only when you subscribe for your internet connection from ASTRA2Connect in combination with one of the Internet subscriptions. With ASTRA2Connect prepaid internet, you can only use digital telephony in conjunction with the prepaid package.
